Lord Jesus,On this 25th anniversary of the attacks on our nation, pour out your mercy on our land. Curb evil that seeks harm on us and our neighbor. Remind us as people who live in a world broken by sin that this evil cannot follow us into the heavenly mansions you now prepare. Comfort those who mourn. Bring hope to those filled with sadness. Calm the fears of those distressed through your mercy. Give us zeal to use our words to reflect the gospel you have richly given us, and to use our actions to love and serve our neighbor.
